Victoria studied at the University of Aberdeen and the College of Law prior to commencing her training contract with Eversheds in 2003. She qualified as a Solicitor into Eversheds’ Corporate team in 2005.
Victoria is the co-owner of Arbuthnot Yon and since 2008 has specialised in placing legal, compliance and company secretarial professionals in-house in commerce & industry sectors. She was previously a Director at another well-known recruitment consultancy.
Victoria partners with a variety of clients including PLCs, multi-nationals, national businesses, start-ups and charities. She works across permanent, contract and interim appointments. This encompasses assisting clients with a range of mandates such as the appointment of a General Counsel to team building, and individual strategic hires.
Victoria spends most of her spare time catching up with family and friends. She also likes to travel (as much as possible!), ski and practice yoga.

Following a law degree, LPC and time spent as an in-house paralegal in London, Kate was tempted into the world of Legal Recruitment and spent 12 happy years working with solicitors from junior lawyers up to partner level, recruiting across a range of disciplines in private practice. After the birth of her 3rd child, Kate took a brief career break before qualifying as a primary school teacher but has now been lured back to work alongside Victoria, recruiting solicitors into in-house legal, compliance and governance functions across the UK.
Kate loves the challenge that this new market has given her and enjoys the close relationships that she is able to develop with clients and candidates.
Kate has a very busy home life with 4 kids, 2 dogs and 1 cat and suffers terribly from FOMO – always the last to leave the party! Kate loves spending time with friends and indulging her passion for bad (and good!) 80’s & 90’s music. With 4 kids to arrange birthday parties for, she has also learnt to make a mean birthday cake and organises legendary discos and annual fundraising balls for her children’s primary school.
Angelica Rojas
Recruitment Support & Operations Manager - Commerce & Industry
Angelica joined Arbuthnot Yon in 2024, having previously worked in recruitment for the education sector in the UK. She is originally from Chile and has been living in the UK for several years now.
She has a Psychology degree and has pursued her studies in areas such as Organisational Psychology, Inclusion and Diversity and Coaching.
She has been part of different organisations, from consultancy, multinational companies to mining, which left her with valuable knowledge in Organisational Development and Recruitment. Working in Arbuthnot Yon has added value to these experiences and the legal market has proven to be a challenge, which she enjoys very much!
Angelica has 2 children and a very busy schedule, specially driving them around to all their extracurricular activities! Angelica loves to travel, enjoys meeting with friends and hanging out with the family and playing tennis (weather permitting!).
